The hot water inside is heated directly by the immersion heater (or heaters) situated inside the cylinder. The advantage of a direct cylinder is that no boiler is required to heat the water inside, however, the heat-up and recovery times take longer than an indirect model of a similar size.
Combination boilers are ideal for properties such as flats or apartments that have no rooms for a cold water cistern.
This Telford Combination 42 x 18 Cylinder is manufactured and fully approved to the latest British Standard specification BS1566:2002 (Part L) to comply with all current legislation, making it perfect for new builds or to replace an ageing cylinder.
