The hot water inside is heated directly by the immersion heater (or heaters) situated inside the cylinder. The advantage of a direct cylinder is that no boiler is required to heat the water inside, however, the heat-up and recovery times take longer than an indirect model of a similar size.
This Telford Copper Cylinder is manufactured and fully approved to the latest British Standard specification BS1566:2002 (Part L) to comply with all current legislation, making it perfect for new builds or to replace an ageing cylinder.

Please note that this model is a Direct Cylinder and most commonly used to heat hot water only via electric immersion without the need of a separate boiler. This cylinder comes with a second return as standard.
