The Cistermiser Combimate 15mm is a user-friendly limescale prevention system that uses Combiphos, a polyphosphate compound which is a 100% food grade material that is non-toxic and non-hazardous. It is released in very small quantities when water is passed through it. The released Combiphos coats the inside of the pipework with a non-residual, microscopic protective layer which prevents scale build-up causing minerals from building up (refills available here).
The Combimate can be installed to provide protection for a whole house, or to just a single appliance. Combimate can also be installed in various configurations, allowing maximum flexibility of pipework connections. It can be fitted to most pipework configurations, virtually anywhere on your home's cold-water supply pipework in less than an hour.
